Led by trombonist/arranger Adam Theis, the Jazz Mafia is an indispensable force on the Bay Area music scene, brimming with some of the most potent players in the region. With monthly residencies at Oakland’s Sound Room and Keys Jazz Bistro in North Beach, the outfit has honed an expansive series of thematic shows (including the Grateful Dead, a natural development considering Theis’s five-year run in Bob Weir’s Wolfpack). Prince’s singular mélange of funk, jazz and rock is right up the Jazz Mafia’s alley, and the combo’s deep familiarity and respect for his songbook turn concerts into revelatory celebrations. When the Jazz Mafia arrives, His Purpleness abides. The band features Kate Lamont (vocals), Daniel Casares (sax, vocals), Adam Theis (trombone, vocals), Andrew Levin (guitar, vocals), Ian Mcardle (keys), Joshua Thurston-Milgrom (upright bass), Henry Plumb (drums).

SingleThread’s focus is to provide its guests with an unparalleled hospitality experience in the center of Sonoma Wine Country.

Healdsburg Jazz Guests will enjoy a Rooftop Meet & Greet with vocalist Kurt Elling and pinot and chardonnay wines from Donna Kato, owner of Adonna Wines. Then, guests will experience a seven-course tasting menu, hosted indoors at the restaurant’s exquisite dining room, starting with a glass of sparkling. Featuring produce from SingleThread’s nearby farm, seafood, and proteins from Japan and the California coast, the menu tells the story of today.
